Bromthymol Blue is a dye used as an indicator in determining pH. It acts as an acid-base indicator as well as a two-color indicator. This reagent presents a yellow tint in acidic solutions, however, is blue in basic solutions. It is commonly used in laboratory reactions as it is classified as a pH sensitive dye.
