Description

The Chemglass CG-1321-03 Rotary Evaporator Bump Trap is a specialized glassware component designed to prevent the loss of your product during rotary evaporation.  “Bumping” occurs when a sudden burst of vaporization pushes liquid from the evaporating flask up into the condenser, potentially contaminating your distilled product and causing a loss of material. This bump trap is placed between the evaporation flask and the condenser to capture these sudden bursts of liquid, preventing them from reaching the condenser.

This particular model features a 24/40 top outer joint and a 24/40 lower inner joint, making it compatible with a range of rotary evaporator setups.  It also includes two 4mm drain holes at the base of the inner tube, allowing any captured solvent to drain back down into the evaporating flask, minimizing sample loss and ensuring efficient evaporation.  The CG-1321-03 is a valuable addition to any laboratory conducting rotary evaporation, providing an extra layer of protection for your valuable samples and experiments.
