Description
The Hamilton 41212 Probe I/O Contact PCB Assembly (Rev. B) is a critical electronic component found in Hamilton Microlab STAR and NIMBUS automated liquid handling workstations. It serves as the interface between the core instrument electronics and the individual pipetting probes. It processes I/O signals related to probe movement, tip sensing, and pressure/capacitance-based liquid level detection. Features high-conductivity contact points to ensure reliable signal transmission between the static and moving parts of the pipetting arm. Designed to withstand the high-frequency vibrations and constant motion of a high-throughput robotic deck. Contains circuitry for detecting clogs or tip presence, which are vital for the “Total Aspiration and Dispense Monitoring” (TADM) features on Hamilton STAR systems.
