It is particularly useful when ionizable analytes are being investigated with reversed phase HPLC (RP-HPLC) to give better peak shape in the chromatogram. With a pKa value of 4.8, this material is a great selection when the required eluent pH is between 3.8 – 5.8 to achieve a particular separation.
