The Corning 8825-2414 is a Pyrex Bushing Style Reducing Adapter designed to connect larger laboratory glassware joints to smaller ones. This compact, “bushing” design is specifically used to save vertical space in complex glassware assemblies. Unlike standard “long-neck” reducing adapters, the bushing style fits almost entirely inside the larger 24/40 joint. This is ideal for setups with height restrictions or when you want to keep the thermometer or addition funnel as close to the reaction flask as possible. Both the inner and outer joints are ground to exact Standard Taper specifications, ensuring a vacuum-tight seal when used with a small amount of joint grease. Common applications include microscale integration, compact distillation, and manifold connection.
