DMEM-003: DMEM F-12 1:1 Nutrient Mixture Ham, 1X, with L-glutamine, with HEPES, and with Sodium Bicarbonate (NaHCO3) 500 mL.. DMEM F-12 is a 1:1 mixture of Dulbecco’s Modified Eagle’s Medium (DMEM) and Ham’s F-12 Nutrient Mixture (Ham’s F-12). Widely used as a basal medium, DMEM F-12 combines DMEM’s high amino acid, glucose, and vitamin concentrations with growth factors and hormones found in Ham’s F-12. The result is an ideal medium capable of culturing a variety of cell lines. DME-BBZ-5XM-003 contains 365 mg/L L-glutamine and 15mM HEPES to compensate for the loss of buffering capacity incurred by eliminating serum. The liquid medium should be stored at 2-8°C.
