The IEC HN-SII Benchtop Centrifuge is a robust, versatile laboratory instrument designed for high-capacity general-purpose separation and clinical applications. This system is supplied as a complete package, including the centrifuge unit, a high-capacity rotor, and specialized tube inserts, offering a reliable solution for mid-volume sample processing.
The included rotor is the IEC Model 809, which features a high capacity of 12 places and is a fixed rotor, with fairly horizontal fixed inserts to provide an approximate 45 degree angle. The angled design is highly valued in clinical and biological settings for producing well-defined, horizontal pellets and ensuring optimal separation efficiency for density gradients and cell harvesting.
The system is precisely calibrated for mid-volume processing with IEC Model 302 rotor inserts. These inserts (17 mm x 110 mm) are designed to securely hold standard 15 ml conical centrifuge tubes. The IEC HN-SII provides a durable and efficient platform for routine centrifugation tasks, from blood component separation to general sample preparation.
