Martius Scarlet Blue Stain Kit (MSB), Choose pack size. Kit contains: Haematoxylin Weigerts A, B. Phosphotungstic Acid 1%. 1% Methyl Blue in 1% Acetic acid. Crystal Scarlet (Ponceau). Martius yellow saturated alcoholic with phosphotungstic acid. 

Martius Scarlet Blue (MSB) Stain is a trichrome histology stain used primarily for detecting fibrin in tissue sections. It is a special stain, not an H&E variant.

What MSB Stains Are Used For

The Martius Scarlet Blue staining technique is specifically designed to differentiate:

• Fibrin → red
• Muscle & cytoplasm → yellow/orange
• Collagen → blue
• Red blood cells → yellow
• Nuclei → typically counterstained (dark)

It is highly valued for identifying fibrin deposition, especially in:

• Thrombosis
• Vascular disease
• Coagulation disorders
• Inflammation with fibrin formation
• Microscopic thrombi in pathology specimens
