The Synthware F621125 is a 125 mL capacity pressure equalizing addition funnel made from durable borosilicate glass. Its key feature is the integrated pressure equalizing arm, a narrow-bore glass tube that connects the top of the funnel to the space between the stopcock and the lower joint. This arm ensures that as liquid drains from the funnel into a sealed receiving flask, the pressure inside the funnel is equalized with the flask’s atmosphere. This prevents vacuum buildup (which would stop the flow) or pressure buildup, making it ideal for controlled, drop-wise additions of reagents, especially in sealed systems, inert gas environments, or reactions involving volatile substances.
