Description

The Warner Instruments 64-0291 (Model SA-NIK) is a specialized microscope stage adapter designed to integrate Series 20 imaging and recording chambers into the stages of Nikon Diaphot and related inverted microscope models. It serves as a thermal and mechanical interface, allowing for stable, high-precision microscopy during live-cell imaging or electrophysiology.

The primary purpose of the SA-NIK is to bridge the gap between the microscope stage’s large circular cutout and the smaller footprint of a Warner Series 20 platform (such as the P-1, PM-1, or PH-1).

• Mechanical Stability: It features two button clamps that securely lock the chamber platform into place, preventing any lateral movement during high-magnification imaging or perfusion.

• Thermal Isolation: Machined from high-quality Delrin® (plastic), the adapter acts as a thermal barrier. This is critical when using heated platforms; it prevents the heavy metal microscope stage from acting as a “heat sink,” which would otherwise make temperature regulation difficult and inefficient.
